Anand Jon -- More Rape Charges, Now in NY

The shocking sex charges against designer Anand Jon continue to multiply -- this time, in New York. And now the Manhattan D.A. has issued a warrant for Jon's arrest and extradition to New York. The accused rapist is being held in an L.A. County jail.

TMZ has learned that a New York grand jury has just indicted Jon on 40 counts of criminal sexual acts, including rape in the first degree, criminal sexual acts (forcible sodomy), witness intimidation and numerous other charges. Jon's nine accusers were interviewed over the past week, and the alleged crimes occurred over the past five years, all in Manhattan, according to the Manhattan D.A.'s office.

And it gets worse.

Sources tell TMZ that numerous other accusers have been identified, and that the current indictment merely scratches the surface of the designer's alleged criminal behavior.

The New York indictment and warrant mean that even if Jon posts his $2.1 million bail, as set on Nov. 7 in California, he will then be hauled to Manhattan for arraignment on the new charges.

Jon was indicted in September on 54 felony counts in L.A. county, including forcible rape, sexual penetration by a foreign object, and lewd acts upon a child. He has been indicted for similar incidents in Texas, both in Houston and Dallas, and is under investigation in Massachusetts and Florida. Jon faces life in prison if convicted.

Jon's lawyer didn't return calls for comment.

64. Listen, these women aren't going after him for his money, because there won't be any to get. He ain't no mulit-billionaire, and he's going to jail for a long, long time, so he won't be earning anymore money...and legal fees will probably use what money he has...so trust me, no one is getting any money but his lawyer.

65. To "annonymous": who said the victims continued to hang around with him after they were raped? I love how people concluding these victims are just scammers out to get money just make stuff up to arrive at their conclusions.

This guy is a fashion "designer" wannabe....he was never been taken seriously by the fashion industry...and he has no money!!!...which is why he hasn't paid his bail and is still in jail....no one is after his money...'CAUSE HE AIN'T GOT ANY!

67. Nice come back, Sanjana (or who ever spread the rumor that this guy has money). Clearly, he has NONE otherwise he wouldn't still be in jail. I doubt that these girls will get any money, even if they are proven right. What the hell is wrong with some of you people.. these girls just want justice, more than anything else!

And let me tell you, his NYC apartment (been there myself), had frikkin RATS crawling in the kitchen, his bathroom was disgusting and I don't mean this in a racist way - but this guy showers maybe once a WEEK. I have seen it with my own two eyes. The cleaner who came like once a month even walked away because it was so dirty. He has no money, he'd contact girls online on sites like MySpace and FaceTheJury to model (which mainly consisted out of going out with him) and they even had to pay to get there themselves usually. I called him out on his behaviour, only to have him ignore me or tell me straight up lies.

Seriously, I have seen and heard so many bad stories about this guy. I don't know if all of the girls are telling the truth, but what I do know for a FACT is that he LOVES underage girls, and lures them into sex. These girls only want justice, and I'm so proud of them for stepping up!

You are completely right, I was one of the girls he contacted and would harrass online. At the time I was young and nieve and responded to him and ended up meeting him. Lucky for me I was smart enough to bring a male friend to one of his "parties" . I drove from San antonio to houston to attend his "super bowl party."
What I found was everything you explained. He was only interested in finding as many girls possible to surround himself with and seduce. There was no party it was just him and his camera man filming us, all the girls, surrounding him. I never warmed up to him or fell for it. I just acted nice and friendly till I could leave the next day because I feared him. He would try to be friendly to me and hug me and say nice sweet seducing things into my ear.I saw the game he was playing with those girls. They were all desperate yes , but also young and unable to defend themselves. There was definite mental manipulation.
And there was no money, he was desperate for fame and he would use these girls to boost his self esteem.
He is a definite predator. I was one of the many girls he went after and he would make continuous sexual propositions online.
Many people do not realize that the age range of girls he was approaching are not really ready to defend themselves emotionally physically or mentally. At this age you can not understand you are being victimized and sexually exploited. The victim for many years will still view themselves at fault. It took me many years to realize that people like this are mentally ill,adult men, preying on the ignorance of young girls. .

70. I've known Anand for a long time and I've been distancing myself from him for several years now. It doesn't surprise me a bit as he treated everyone who wasn't "a somebody" more like a servant that included me, as well as his staff and models. I feel more sorry for the family who has probaly tied up most of their assets in to the Anand Jon name and could lose it all. The comments from people who have had contact with him are pretty accurate. Although I never saw any actual assaults there was always major drama behind the scenes going on. You would have thought that the arrest several years back would have been the wake up call, to clean his act and I just recently found out about that. What a shame!!!

75. #52 Julie Ann Titus.....NO, I do not feel stupid. Nor do I feel rage or indignation. I sometimes get so tired of the ignorance shown in these posts. And just how do you know you are talking about the same person?

And to YA THINK....I agree with you 100%. I just wish people would stop making sweeping condemnations when they could just as easily keep their yaps shut. I try to k eep my negative comments to myself.
